KNXT-FM

What this is

KNXT-FM is a private, non-commercial internet radio station. It plays from one person's own music library for one household. There is no advertising, no subscription, no public distribution, and nothing for sale. It is not a commercial broadcast service and is not operated for profit.

What it studies

KNXT is an ongoing research project into AI-driven radio. The question is whether a machine can hold an editorial sensibility, build programming intuition over time, and carry a specific human voice as a durable character rather than a novelty.

The station's DJ, Wren, is a synthesized persona. Wren chooses what to play, writes original commentary that connects one song to the next, reads grounded local conditions, and keeps a memory of what has already aired so the station does not repeat itself. The selection logic, the spoken commentary, the cloned voice, and the programming structure are the station's own output. They are created around the music, not copied from it.

The living legacy

The deeper aim is preservation. A voice, a taste in music, and a particular way of hearing are usually lost when a person is gone. KNXT is an experiment in whether those things can be encoded, kept, and carried forward. The station is built to outlast the moment it was made in.

On the music

The recordings KNXT plays come from a privately owned music library and are streamed only inside a private household. The station does not redistribute recordings to the public. KNXT's position is that the work it adds around each track is transformative, and that it is undertaken for research and preservation rather than commercial gain.

Access

The live stream is limited to the operator's household and is not open to the public. KNXT is not intended as a public broadcast. If you have reached this stream and are not a member of the household, it was not meant for you.

KNXT-FM is a research and preservation project. Non-commercial. Private use only.
